Services and places in aged care 2018

Australian aged care services offer care in different settings—care in the community is provided through the Home support programs and home care services whereas residential aged care services provide care to people living in residential facilities, both for permanent and short-term respite stays. Flexible care services deliver care to people both within the community & within residential (including respite) settings.

The following dashboard presents key figures on these aged care services, including where services are delivered, the characteristics of the services and service providers, and the places available in these services.
