Summary
The quality of care plays an integral role in the quality of life and outcomes for people using aged care in Australia. The quality of Australian Government-funded aged care is assessed against a set of quality standards by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (ACQSC). The ACQSC undertake consumer experience surveys of residents in residential aged care services, in conjunction with regulatory audits. This report explores the experience of people in residential aged care using 2017–18 and 2018–19 experience surveys.
