Pathways of younger people entering permanent residential aged care

Aged care is generally provided on the basis of need, so sometimes it is used by younger people. In permanent residential aged care, around 2,000 younger people (aged under 65) take up care every year. 

The following dashboard presents key figures from the pathways of younger people entering permanent residential aged care report, including the various pathways that younger people follow prior to entering care, their characteristics and how long they stay in care.
