My Aged Care
The My Aged Care website and contact centre has been established by the Australian Government to help you navigate the aged care system. My Aged Care is part of the Australian Government’s changes to the aged care system which have been designed to give people more choice, more control and easier access to a full range of aged care services. Department of Health and Aged Care
The Department of Health and Aged Care oversees the running of Australia's health care system, including aged care services. The Department of Health and Aged Care website includes information and resources relating to:
- aged care laws in Australia
- aged care reforms
- funding for service providers
- delivering quality services of care
- initiatives and programs
- research and reporting, including quarterly and annual financial reports
- news and other resources.
Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission
The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission commenced operation on 1 January 2019. Its role is to protect and enhance the safety, health, well-being and quality of life of people in aged care. The Commission assumes the functions of the former Aged Care Complaints Commissioner and the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency, and is committed to promoting high quality care and services to safeguard everyone who is receiving Australian Government funded aged care.
